Red macroalgae Gracilaria Lauris. This is a close cousin to Gracilaria Hayi but grows entirely different. This algae grows out and up in a mat and will quickly out tethering tendrills into nearly surface it touches, making this algae great for holding on to other algaes that doing easily tether but have a stalk. Most animals will not find it palatable.
In prime conditions it will grow at a respectable rate and scissors will be needed to trim this particular species back. It keeps a light to deep red coloration and needs medium light and tolerates high flow once tethered.
Photo is roughly the size of specimen you'll receive. About 1-3" in length. Glued to a frag plug unless otherwise requested.
