Caulerpa has a bad rap for being bad in an aquarium. To a small extent this is true from some particular species of this family. Mexicana does indeed grow quickly under high light and high flow. If not enough nutrients is in the water you'll see the plant slowly turn translucent. Simply remove these parts and you'll be fine. This species is best suited in algae only tanks or in refugiums where it can be helpful up taking excess nutrients in the system. In a reef display just understand that anywhere it puts an anchor it can grow back from unless the entire anchor was removed.
Photo is roughly the size of specimen you'll receive. About 1-3" in length. Glued to a frag plug unless otherwise requested.
